Dear Tim
I am born a New Apostolic and too my discuss I don’t agree with the way the Apostles operate and I now question the New Apostolic belief. Thank heavens my parents are not alive.
We were thought as kids not to question our parents, and always got the same answer, “young lady you do as you told”, 2 years ago our Evangelist started extra Bible classes based on Rick Warren’s “Purpose Driven Life and Purpose Driven Church” This was the best 30 months off my life it was wow! I really enjoy it and now I understand all the questions that was never answered by my parents and the reason why not.
At the age off [age omitted] I now learned that “New Apostolic’s are not the chosen ones, and we also have to work for our salvation our pathway are not paved to heaven ….. what a shock!!
Purpose Driven Life and Purpose Driven Church are based on the Bible and not on the “New Apostolic’s Apostles” now this is where the problem is. The District Evangelist belief we are the 144,000 and that we should do what ever the Apostles tell us to do.
To make a long story short our Evangelist was put in suspense .. for no reason because he was teaching us the Doctrine of Christ. I emailed the District Evangelist, The Bishop and the District Apostle because I don’t agree with this as I am no longer 14 and I belief the Evangelist taught our group the right way. Needless to say ….. they did not answer
I can not go to a church which I no longer belief in any more and I just don’t know how to go forward from here.
What did you do after leaving the New Apostolic Church and how do I know which church to join as I realise I need a church family to grow and I don’t want to loose what I now have?
Thanks for taking the time to answer me.
Regards,

Upon reading your email, I can relate so well to your situation! My heart goes out to you.
Realizing that the New Apostolic faith is not the truth is a critical step. There are many, many religious ideas that have been planted into your brain by the NAC that are untrue, and now that you realize this, you may be left with a feeling of not belonging anywhere. You are searching for another family to grasp on to, so let me assure you that our Father in Heaven is faithful. If you truly seek Him, you will find Him. You will have to make some difficult and costly decisions very soon, but if you decide for Yah according to His code of ethics as found in the Scriptures, you will be making the correct and profitable decision. The very best thing you can do at this point, I believe, is to (1) pray that Yah will come into your heart and fill it with His true Holy Spirit and forgive all of your sins by the atoning blood of Yahushua Messiah, and then (2) start to read and really study the Bible from cover to cover. You can understand it, and it is not as difficult as the NAC has led you to believe. Every word in the Scriptures is precious and pertinent for our lives today! The original texts of the Scriptures are inerrant, authoritative and inspired by Yah. Every time you start to feel a bit lonely, the Scriptures will be your faithful companion.
Understanding that these Scriptures are given to us by the inspiration of the true Holy Spirit is critical to understanding that the entire Bible is relevant to our lives. Regard the reading of the Scriptures as receiving instructions directly from our Father in Heaven, and this study and prayer time will fill the hunger you may feel for the companionship in a false religion that you experienced in the New Apostolic church.
There are dangers with finding another church. To understand why I say this, please take some time to study the Bible regarding what I have written in the article titled “The Beast and His Mark.” All Christian denominations that I have encountered are variants of the same Babylonian turned Roman religious system, which the Scriptures refer to as a “beast”, and this is why it is critically important for all who seek Yah in spirit and in truth to learn only from the true source of knowledge, the Holy Scriptures. Having an edifying fellowship of true believers that trust and fear only Yah is important; however understanding the truth in the Scriptures is absolutely vital.
There are many Bible study helps and tools that will help understand the Scriptures from a historical and prophetic perspective. For starters, tools such as Matthew Henry’s Commentary, Bible Knowledge Commentary, and Strong’s concordance will all be helpful as you dig into the Scriptures. All can be found at www.e-sword.com. Understand that these tools have errors in them, as they are not Scriptures; regardless, they are helpful. Additionally, a fantastic translation of the Bible can be found at www.messianic.co.za – although the translation was created by those in the Sacred Names movement, which also has certain problems. Regardless, the translation is a very good one.
In the mean time, it may be helpful to keep in mind the acronym MAPP, which stands for Manuscript evidence, Archeological evidence, Prophesies fulfilled, and Probabilities. This acronym will help you remember why the Bible can be trusted as true, inerrant, authoritative, inspired by Yah, and certainly worthy of our intent, daily study. In short, there is ample manuscript and archeological evidence to support the truth of the Bible. The many prophesies fulfilled by its text are incredibly improbable, which is further evidence that the Bible is true. There are many commentators and useless religious traditions of men, but only the Scriptures are our source of truth.
There is much more to talk about but this is a good start. Please feel free to contact me at any time.
May Yah bless you and keep you and make His face to shine upon you as you seek the truth from the Scriptures.
Yours in Yahushua Messiah,
Tim
