Atheists, Muslims, and other Bible-antagonists assert that the authors of Scripture believed that the earth was flat, yet the Scriptures make no such claim. The authors of Scriptures use various literary devices common to the literature of the era to portray concepts, and one must contextualize the Scriptures fully to understand the device that is being used. Certainly, we understand the Scriptures to be quite literal unless the Scriptures contextually state otherwise.
But the idea that the authors of Scripture believed the earth to be flat is more of a pretext than scholarly contextualization.
The author of the Book of Yahshua (Joshua) states that both the sun stood still and the moon stayed, which is easily explained by the fact that the author is relaying details of the event from his perspective. Note that in several places, the authorship is implied with references to “we” and “us” (e.g. 5:1, 5:6). The author’s description of the event does not necessarily imply that the author believed that the earth is flat. Certainly, nowhere in Scriptures do we find the statement “Thus says the Master Yah, the earth is flat.”
The idea that the Bible authors make such a claim is a pretext propagated by those who wish to undermine the authority and credibility of the Scriptures, such the leaders of the NAC, who, in true “luciferian” style, wish to claim that authority for themselves.
Every trait regarding homosexuality that you wrote including (1) that it exists in every culture worldwide and (2) that it occurs in most mammals does not necessitate that Yah’s commandment to put homosexuals to death, per Lev 20:13, be annulled. Man’s refusal to enforce this law indicates only his sinful, fallen state. This verse explicitly states, “If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.” This is a very clear, very unambiguous command regarding the penalty for homosexuality. It appears that you overlooked this verse.
You asked, “If God completely detested homosexuality, why would he program it into nature?” There are many traits “programmed into nature” that Yah commands us not to do. It is quite natural for a human being and even an animal to be deceptive, but we do not (or rather should not) excuse lying just because it comes naturally. Should we excuse child-molestation just because the molester claims that his deviant compulsion comes naturally? I would hope that all agree that the answer is absolutely not.
And you really should brush up on your Hebrew, as the word “abomination” is translated from the Hebrew words (as transliterated) “tow’ebaw”, “pig-gool’” and “sheh’-kets” which are strong words indicating the most reprehensible of sins. Your assertion that an abomination is not a serious sin is spectacularly wrong.
Even your reference to eating pig is wrong. Nowhere in the New Testament do we find an addendum or an annulment of the commandments given to us by Yah at Sinai. You have been deceived by a false, beastly religious system to believe otherwise. Note that per Daniel 7:25, it is the beast (i.e. the Roman system today manifested in the Roman Catholic Church and all of its protesting variants) that presumes to change the appointed times (the holy days) and laws. The prophet Yesh’Yah wrote the following as recorded in Isaiah 66:17 regarding the end-time: “They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith Yah.”
Finally, and this is a very common mistake in the NAC, your claim that divorce is no longer wrong is also dangerously wrong. As Yahshua our Messiah declares per Matthew 19:7, “I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.” It is wrong to marry a divorced woman and even to divorce a woman who is not guilty of fornication.
Because the time of grace today will not endure forever, it is important that we seize the opportunity to repent of our sins and ask Yah to forgive us, leaning upon the finished work of Yahshua our Messiah at the bitter torture stake as a propitiation for our sins. Let us never hear the words from our Master Yahshua, as it is written in Luke 24:25, “O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken.”
