Life Line to Members of the New Apostolic Church

Escape from an apostate church through knowledge of Scriptures.

The "First Resurrection" Deception

The New Apostolic Church is teaching a lie regarding the "day of the first resurrection," which is distracting NAC members from the truth of end-time events according to Bible prophesy.  The doctrine of "The Day of The First Resurrection" as taught in the New Apostolic Church (herein refered to as "NAC eschatology") is not consistent with Scriptural teachings regarding the resurrection of the dead on the last day, and as a result, the members of the NAC are being blinded to other very important Scriptural truths such as:

  • The sequence of end time events
  • The authority of Scriptures
  • The identity of the beast spoken of in the books of Daniel and Revelation

Therefore, the NAC is fulfilling the words of Ezekiel (22:23-72).

And the word of Yah came to me, saying, "Son of man, say to her, 'You are a land that is not cleansed or rained upon in the day of displeasure.'  There is a conspiracy of her prophets in her midst, like a roaring lion tearing the prey.  They have
  • devoured life,
  • they have taken wealth and precious matters,
  • they have made many widows in her midst,
  • her priests have done violence to My teaching and they profane My set-apart matters,
  • they have not distinguished between the set-apart and profane, nor have they made known the difference between the unclean and the clean,
  • And they have hidden their eyes from My Sabbaths, and I am profaned in their midst.

Her leaders in her midst are like wolves tearing the prey, to shed blood, to destroy lives, and to get greedy gain."

Indeed, the leaders of the NAC are greedy for gain but not only for money.  They are greedy for the gain of power -- power over the hearts and minds of the NAC members who believe them instead of diligently heeding the word of Yah as found in the Scriptures.  In so doing, the NAC leaders have now the power to hand the NAC members over to the beast, the Roman Catholic Church.

According to "NAC eschatology," the following events will take place in the following order in summary:

  1. The Day of the First Resurrection at which only the worthy members of the NAC will be taken up to heaven by "Jesus."
  2. A three and a half year wedding feast in heaven while great tribulation is poured out on the earth under the leadership of a man who is regarded as "the beast" or "the anti-christ."
  3. "Jesus" then returns with his bride (the worthy NAC members) to vanquish the beast and establish the thousand-year kingdom of peace.

To be certain, there will be a resurrection of the dead, as the Scriptures plainly say.

However, this order of events is not found in the Scriptures.  Read Matthew chapter 24 for a chronological list of end-time events, which are absent of any mention of a pre-tribulation rapture.

Furthermore, the identity of the beast, according to "NAC eschatology," is incorrectly assigned to a single man, a world ruler who will usher in utter chaos, suffering, and intense tribulation.

These details are similar to the teachings of other Christian denominations that subscribe to dispensational theology that were dramatized in the popular Left Behind series of books and movies based on the writings of the charlatan Tim LaHaye, who was greatly influenced by John Nelson Darby and the Albury Circle.

Where did the New Apostolic Church and other errant Christian denominations get this version of end-time events?  Was it from the Holy Spirit, or was it rather given by a deceiving spirit, the devil himself?

Let us trace NAC eschatology chronologically backwards to its source.

  1. The New Apostolic Church born out of the Catholic Apostolic Church.
  2. Catholic Apostolic Church founded by Edward Irving, John Bate Cardale and Henry Drummond.
  3. Edward Irving was influenced to believe "NAC eschatology" by the writings of Jesuit priest Manuel Lacunza who, to have an air of credibility, deceptively wrote under Jewish pseudonym Josafat Ben Ezra.  Irving also had an influence on the popular preacher John Nelson Darby, who is regarded as the "Father of Modern Dispensational Theology."  Darby preached "NAC eschatology," which became popular in Europe at the early of the 19th century and was given credibility by C.I. Scofield, author of the popular Scofield Reference Bible.
  4. Manuel Lacunza was propagating "NAC eschatology," which was the 16th century invention of Jesuit priest Francisco Ribera.  Ribera is known as "the Father of Futurism" and was arguing against the Protestant Reformation.  Ribera took extraordinary interpretive liberties to defend the Roman Catholic Church from the Protestants who had rightly identified the Roman Catholic church as the "beast."
  5. SOURCE: Jesuit priests are the militant arm of the Roman Catholic Church.  Thus, "NAC eschatology" is the product of "Jesuit Futurism."  The Roman Catholic Church is described in the Scriptures as the forth beast of the earth and controlled by the dragon, the devil himself.

It is important to emphasis that "NAC eschatology" originates from the Roman Catholic Church via the Jesuit priesthood.  One of the stated purposes of the Jesuit order is to murder Protestants and bring the Protestant religion back under control of the Papacy.

The fathers of the Protestant reformation had, through study of the Scriptures, correctly identified the Roman Catholic Church as the dreaded beast spoken of in the books of Daniel and Revelation.  To counter this idea, Jesuit priest Francisco Ribera applied a new interpretation to the term "beast" and contended that the beast would be a single man that would appear on the world scene during the "great tribulation" of the end-times.  This was done so that Protestants would forget that the beast, as defined in the Scriptures, is in fact the Roman Catholic Church.  The very palatable aspect of Ribera's reinterpretation is the notion that Christians would need not suffer through end-time tribulation and, as such, have no chance of accepting the mark of the beast, the sign of certain damnation.  To a very large degree, the intent of this reinterpretation has succeeded.  Today, virtually all of Evangelical Christianity has forgotten that Rome is the fourth beast of the earth, as they cling to the false hope that they will not suffer tribulation of have any chance of receiving the dreaded mark of the beast.  This amnesia has been caused by subscribing to the teachings of Francisco Ribera via Edward Irving and John Nelson Darby.

Thus, "NAC eschatology" is a product of the beast.

Most importantly, "NAC eschatology" is neither the product of diligent Scriptural study nor the revelation of the true Holy Spirit, which is the Spirit of Truth.  Although the Scriptures prophetically reveal end-time events in detail, the Scriptures say nothing about a "pre-tribulation" or "hidden" rapture.

What, then, is the result?

  • NAC members now no longer read or even trust their Bibles.
  • NAC members now wait in vain to be rescued from a time of great tribulation that is apparently imminent.
  • The identity of the beast spoken of in the books of Daniel and Revelation remains obscured to NAC members.

When "NAC eschatology" fails to materialize in the way in which NAC members and other Christians have been taught, many of them will loose their faith completely and be lost forever, especially in the midst of intense tribulation.

Most importantly without a correct understanding of the identity of the beast, Christians will invariably fall for Satan's deceptions.  Christians have begun to worship -- that is, obey -- the beast and have already received the dreaded mark of the beast.

Think about it.

Shortly after Darby's eschatological views became popular in the early 19th century, virtually all of Christendom had capitulated to Rome by observing the "holy days" of Rome, as inherited from the first beast Babylon.  Babylon's holy days were Easter and "Christmas."  These "holy days" were generally not widely observed in America until the mid-to-late 19th century.  "Christmas" observance is now virtually ubiquitous through-out the world.  This fulfills the prophesy in Revelation 13:12 regarding how the beast Rome causes the entire world to worship the first beast Babylon.

Most importantly, as explained in
The Beast and His Mark, observance of these beastly "holy days" is in fact the mark of the beast -- they are a sign that you belong to the beast.  That is, they are a sign that the beast has ownership over you.

It is time to wake up and study your Bible diligently!

Now is the time to separate truth from lies, and we know that the word of Yah as found in the Scriptures is true forever.

Only those who in faith obey the commandments of Yah and hold fast to the belief in Yahshua Messiah will successfully navigate through these perilous times.  Successful navigation could include martyrdom but will certainly include eternal life.  Only those who endure to the end will be saved -- endure with obedience and faith.  Those who endure to the end are those who hear the Word of Yah as recorded in the Scriptures and in faith do it.

More will be written on this topic soon, so check back often.
